Mr. Martin has worked in the real estate industry since 1984. He is one of the few Receivers who have actual experience in managing commercial property, along with business operations. Experience includes brokerage, leasing, lending, property and business management. He spent 7 years as vice-president of a large brokerage and management company in Los Angeles, specializing in tax-deferred exchange. After a year with a major Savings and Loan bank, he moved to Northern California.

Mr. Martin was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the local office for a large regional management company, with over 7 million square feet of commercial property under contract throughout Northern California. He was responsible for a mixed portfolio of office, retail, multi-family and industrial properties located throughout the region.

Mr. Martin oversaw the negotiation and implementation of all service contracts, for repairs, ongoing preventative maintenance and remedial work. He prepared budgets, which include strategic recommendations for increasing the value of the assets and improving cost efficiencies. He also performed leasing renewal services, bid and managed tenant improvements along with construction and rehabilitation projects.

Since 1995, using this experience, Mr. Martin has served clients in litigation, private investors and Bank/Institutional clients as a Court Appointed Receiver. He has worked as a Receiver in most northern California counties for the Superior Court and in Federal Bankruptcy court in both California and Nevada. Institutional clients have included, Bank of America, City of Stockton, City of Vallejo, GSA, State of California, Kemper Insurance Company, Union Bank of California, City of Fairfield, Guaranty Federal Bank and Bank of Stockton, Citi Bank and Washington Mutual, Union Safe Deposit Bank, Bayview Loan Servicing, East West Bank and Wells Fargo Bank.

Mr. Martin works with individuals, Bank and institutional clients in the disposition and sale of residential and commercial properties, including business take-over and operations during litigation. Expert in property disposition, tenant issues and asset preservation. Affiliations with all major brokerage and management firms.

Mr. Martin is one of the few ‘Receivers’ who have actual experience, as a property manager, leasing agent, business owner and commercial broker.
