Edythe L. Bronston is a court-appointed fiduciary, acting as Receiver, Provisional Director, Partition Referee, Grantor Trustee and Business Mediator. With 37 plus years as such, she has developed a breadth of experience in many varied business enterprises and many different courts.

She is a founding Director and past President of both the LA./Orange County Receivers Forum and the statewide California Receivers Forum and served on the Los Angeles Superior Court’s Ad-Hoc Committee on Receiverships, tasked with developing rules to guide the Court and litigants to a more efficient and uniform implementation of receiverships. She was a founding Director and past President of the California Bankruptcy Forum and past President of the L.A. Bankruptcy Forum, as well as serving on the Insolvency Committee of the business Law Section of the State Bar from 1999-2001. She has spoken extensively and authored many publications dealing with all facets of receiverships, provisional directorships and other provisional remedies, for various bar and professional organizations.

As Receiver, Partition Referee and Grantor Trustee, under the auspices of the Los Angeles and Orange County Superior Courts and the U.S. District Court, she has rehabilitated, maintained and sold many commercial and residential properties.

As Receiver, her varied duties outside of garden variety receiverships over businesses, manufacturers, and real and personal property sales, have included the filming, completion, post- production and delivery of two Disney television movies; oversight and liquidation of a large Hollywood nightclub; sale of a film production company; control of an entertainment loan-out corporation; sale of a movie script; sale of assets of a video game designer/manufacturer; and control over real and personal property assets in a Ponzi scheme case brought by the SEC. She was co-Trustee of the Lee Hazlewood Estate, after having served for many years as Receiver in Family Law over his very large royalty stream. She currently serves as Receiver in a Health and Safety case.

As Provisional Director, she has sat on many Boards, including a producer of large international conferences; a producer of the largest privately owned annual Auto Show in the world; a plastics mold manufacturer; a real estate holding company; a skilled nursing facility in Beverly Hills; two lighting manufacturers; a medical supplier; and a successful recycling center. She currently serves as Director of a music publishing corporation which manages the extensive portfolio of a multiple Academy Award winning composer; and as Director of a successful distributing corporation.

Ms. Bronston has received the highest rating of AV from Martindale-Hubbell, publisher of the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, which indicates very high to pre-eminent legal ability and very high ethical standards as established by confidential opinions from members of the Bar and the Judiciary, and which attests to the individual lawyer’s legal ability and adherence to professional standards of ethics.
